Entoto Beth Artisan (EBA) is a FAIR TRADE Ethiopian social business established in 2012 as a jewelry manufacturer dedicated to empowering and restoring the lives of women community with HIV/AIDS living on Entoto Mountain. Since then, EBA has grown to be known as one of the most successful jewelry businesses serving the local and international markets. W/ro Bethlehem Berhane the founder and owner was inspired to establish EBA after an experience she had visiting a group of underprivileged and HIV-positive women seeking refuge at Entoto St. Mary’s Church. The women shunned by their families and with nowhere to turn have resorted to living in the church compound under extreme poverty and despair. She was able to create employment opportunities and restore self-esteem in these women by training and providing them with fair-wage employment.
